MSA

Study for MSA

아르비스 2017. 6. 27. 18:21
As you will be doing a MicroServices Architecture focused project, its best if you spend a good amount of time learning the basis of containerization, kubernetes and MSA in general.  If you have access to AWS that's great, you can spend some time getting used to our tools.  If you don't have access, skip the tools sections.

Exchange Preparation List (mostly from the standard onboarding program):

CNCT Tooling:
- read the k2cli readme:  https://github.com/samsung-cnct/k2cli
-- if AWS access, follow the quickstart guide
- read the K2 readme: https://github.com/samsung-cnct/k2
-- if AWS access, follow the quickstart guide
-- if AWS access, follow the developer guide

Containers:
-- parts 1 & 2.  Parts 3-6 are for for docker compose/docker swarm and we won't be using those.  Feel free to read about them but its not necessary.

Kubernetes:
-- great place to start
-- Concepts and Tasks links are good, deep dives.  They are very technical and dry so maybe don't try and read them straight through, its like a text book.

MSA:
it estimates it will take 1 month.  Probably less for you.

Istio:
-- this is an MSA framework that we are currently exploring.  It is new but has many of the features we like.  Please be familiar as your project will most likely involve implementing Istio on Kubernetes.

If you have any questions about any of the above, please let me know and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.  This is probably more work then you have time for but do your best and we will fill in the gaps when you get here.

Looking forward to meeting you!
