Q29. Have you ever prepared any food for a holiday? Which holiday? What did you make? Please describe your experience in detail.
I can never forget the time I made songpyeon with my grandma. We eat songpyeon on Chuseok, the Korean Thanksgiving Day. Songpyeon is a kind of rice cake stuffed with sugar and sesame. Sometimes, we put chestnuts or beans in it. My grandma made the best songpyeon ever. She taught me how to shape songpyeon. She used to to smile and say. "If you make your songpyeon pretty, you will meet a great husband in the future." I practiced making songpyeon in order to make them pretty. My grandma put the songpyeon on pine needles and steamed them. This gave them a rich flavor. Now that my grandma has passed away, I can never taste the world's best songpyeon ever again. I miss my grandma and her songpyeon.
